Mont Tremblant Resort, Ski resort in Laurentides, Canada.
Mont Tremblant Resort is a ski area in the Laurentides mountains that spreads across a forested mountain slope with more than a hundred groomed runs for beginners through experts. The runs are distributed across several faces connected by gondolas and chairlifts that reach up to the summit at just under 880 meters.
The first lifts opened in 1939 and allowed skiers to access the upper slopes. Over the following decades, the terrain was gradually expanded with additional runs and modern facilities.
The name comes from an Algonquin term referring to earth tremors that people once felt in this area. This designation connects the landscape to the history of the region's first inhabitants.
The ski season typically runs from late November through mid-April, with snow conditions maintained by snowmaking equipment. Weekends and holidays tend to be busier, especially near the lower lift station.
The terrain is divided into several distinct zones organized by difficulty level, making it easier for families to find runs that match their ability. In some spots, you can see the frozen lake deep in the valley below.
