Art Gallery of Southwestern Manitoba, Contemporary art gallery in Brandon, Canada

The Art Gallery of Southwestern Manitoba is an art museum in Brandon featuring multiple spaces for exhibitions and artistic practice. The building houses rooms for paintings, ceramics, printmaking, and photography, along with a community-focused exhibition area.

Founded in 1907 as the Brandon Art Club, it offered classes in drawing, painting and art history and exhibited members' work. In 1959 a permanent space for studios and exhibitions was established and renamed the Brandon Allied Arts Council. After a lengthy capital campaign, a renovated building on Princess Street opened in 1989 as the Art Gallery of Southwestern Manitoba. In 2000 the gallery moved into the vacated Eaton's building at the Town Centre Mall, fitted with a 4,300 sq ft environmentally controlled exhibition space.

The gallery presents work from local and regional artists and functions as a gathering place where visitors engage with contemporary art. Educational workshops happen regularly, giving people the chance to explore different art forms hands-on.

The gallery is open during regular hours from Monday through Saturday, and the entire building is wheelchair accessible. A gift shop on site carries works by regional artists, making it easy to support local creators.

The building houses specialized art studios where visitors can not only view exhibitions but also create artwork themselves. These spaces allow people to experiment with the same techniques that appear in the displays.
