Seaway International Bridge

The Seaway International Bridge connects Cornwall, Ontario with Akwesasne and Massena, New York through a dual-bridge system spanning the St. Lawrence River. The structure comprises two separate sections that facilitate traffic across the waterway between Canada and the United States.

The structure opened to traffic in 1962 as a key crossing point between the two nations. Major renovation occurred in 2014, when the North Channel section underwent replacement with a lower-level design.
