Koffler Student Centre, Student center at University of Toronto St. George Campus, Canada.
The Koffler Student Centre is located at the intersection of College and St. George Streets and displays classical columns and rounded arches across its facade. Inside, it houses a university bookstore, health clinic, and career center for student use.
The building opened in 1909 as the Central Reference Library for Toronto Public Library, funded by Andrew Carnegie. It was converted to serve university students in 1977 and has operated as a campus hub since then.
Inside this building, students gather for performances at the Robert Gill Theatre, which hosts regular shows throughout the year. The space functions as a creative hub where the university community comes together for arts events.
The building is easily accessible on weekdays when most areas remain open to visitors and the campus community. Its location at the intersection of two main streets makes it convenient to reach by public transportation.
The exterior combines yellow bricks in the upper sections with smooth grey stone and Corinthian columns below. This contrasting use of two different materials creates a distinctive look that visitors often overlook.
