Yarmouth County Museum & Archives, Regional history museum in Yarmouth, Canada.
The museum occupies a former granite church building from 1892 and maintains two historic houses with different exhibition spaces and research facilities.
Founded in 1935 by the Yarmouth County Historical Society, the museum officially opened in 1958 and relocated to its present location in 1969.
The museum preserves more than 20,000 artifacts and 25,000 photographs that document the maritime heritage and development of Yarmouth County through generations.
The museum contains climate-controlled storage areas, conservation facilities, and an archival research center in the Abram Little House extension.
The collection includes the original second order fresnel lens from Cape Forchu Lighthouse and historical stagecoaches used between Yarmouth and Tusket.
