Clearwater Lake Provincial Park encompasses 595 square kilometers of coniferous forests surrounding a 16-kilometer oval-shaped lake with white sand beaches.
The Manitoba government established Clearwater Lake Provincial Park in 1962 to protect the natural resources and create recreational opportunities in the region.
The park features interpretive centers and educational programs that teach visitors about the local ecosystems, wildlife patterns, and natural formations.
Visitors can access the park by taking Highway 10 north from The Pas for 19 kilometers, then following Route 287 east to reach camping areas.
The water clarity in Clearwater Lake allows visibility to depths of 11 meters, creating optimal conditions for lake trout, northern pike, and whitefish.
