Gebidum

The Gibidum mountain rises to 2,317 meters in elevation, featuring an antenna at its summit and offering views across the Pennine Alps range.

The mountain stands along the Great Walser Trail, which traces the migration paths of Germanic settlers who moved to upper Valais a millennium ago.

The nearby village of Visperterminen maintains Europe's highest vineyards, where local residents produce and store their wines in traditional mountain cellars.

Visitors can reach the mountain via train to Visp, followed by a postal bus to Visperterminen, where a chairlift provides access to the hiking trails.

The mountain path leads to Gibidumsee lake, fed by the traditional Heido irrigation channels of Valais, reaching swimming temperatures during summer months.
