Park im Grüene, Public park in Rüschlikon, Switzerland

Park im Grüene is a public park and small amusement park on the northern Zimmerberg plateau in Rüschlikon, above Lake Zürich at about 505 m. Landscape painter Hermann Gattiker redesigned the former Duttweiler estate as an English landscape garden, with a tower-like viewpoint, a pond, an artificial hill and a large main lawn. The Strohhaus houses the Gottlieb Duttweiler museum, and a miniature railway, puppet theatre and donkey rides operate for children.

Gottlieb and Adele Duttweiler bought the first meadow here in 1925 at four francs per square metre and assembled about 45,000 m² by 1930. From the 1930s the landscape painter Hermann Gattiker reshaped the estate as an English landscape garden, with a tower-like viewpoint, a pond, an artificial hill and a large main lawn. At Christmas 1946 the childless couple donated the estate, valued at 520,000 francs, to the Migros cooperative, and from June 1947 it was open to the public.

The park's Swiss German name means "park in the green", but locals call it Dutti-Park after Gottlieb Duttweiler. The Strohhaus, a thatched-roof house, serves as the Gottlieb Duttweiler Museum and cultural centre. From mid-March to mid-October children can ride a miniature railway, watch Kasperli puppet theatre and ride donkeys; the playground with swings, slide and roundabout is open all year.

The park lies on the northern Zimmerberg plateau at about 505 m above sea level in Rüschlikon, between Lake Zürich to the east and the Sihl valley to the west, with an A3 motorway junction nearby. Bus line 165 runs from Bürkliplatz in Zürich, line 156 connects Adliswil and Thalwil stations and stops at the park entrance, and the S8 serves Rüschlikon station. The park is open daily except for a few days around Christmas.

The park's nickname Dutti-Park comes from Gottlieb Duttweiler, the Migros founder who gave the estate to the public. The Strohhaus, a thatched-roof house built in 1933, hosted the founding of the Landesring der Unabhängigen party on 30 December 1936 and now holds a museum on his life.
