City fortification

The city fortification is a medieval gate and tower structure located at the intersection of Weite Gasse and Schlossbergplatz in Baden. The building features stone defensive walls surrounding a multi-story central tower with thick masonry construction.

The structure, known as Brugger Tower, dates to medieval times when Baden served as an important trading center. Official recognition as a Class B Swiss cultural property came in 1926.
