Rigiblick funicular, Funicular in Oberstrass, Zürich, Switzerland

The Rigiblick funicular is a metre-gauge funicular railway in Zürich that links Universitätstrasse with Rigiblick on the Zürichberg. It has four stations: Goldauerstrasse, Hadlaubstrasse (the passing loop), Germaniastrasse and Rigiblick. Its two cars, built by Garaventa and styled after the city's Flexity trams, are mirror images of each other.

The railway opened in 1901 and received new steel cars during the 1950s to replace the original wooden ones. A major extension of 80 meters was added in the late 1970s.

The line's two cars are one-off designs modelled on Zürich's Flexity trams, built mirror-image to each other. It is one of only two funiculars inside the city of Zürich, alongside the Polybahn in the centre; the Dolderbahn rack railway was itself a funicular until its 1970s conversion.

The line runs from the Universitätstrasse lower station, served by tram routes 9 and 10 and trolleybus route 33, up to Rigiblick. Intermediate stops are Goldauerstrasse, Hadlaubstrasse (where the two cars cross) and Germaniastrasse. The whole line lies in ZVV fare zone 110, so standard zonal tickets apply.

The viaduct over Hadlaubstrasse, built for the line, was the first steel bridge of reinforced concrete in Switzerland. The two cars are one-off designs modelled on Zürich's Flexity trams and built as mirror images of each other.
