Musée de l'Aviation Militaire de Payerne

The museum displays twelve military aircraft and helicopters across two exhibition halls, featuring Swiss Air Force equipment from different periods.

Opening its doors on April 25, 2003, the museum emerged from the efforts of La Cinquième Escadrille association, which saved numerous aircraft from destruction since 1994.

The museum serves as a regional heritage institution, preserving Switzerland's military aviation legacy through aircraft, simulators, and technical instruments exhibitions.

Located near Payerne's railway station, the museum offers guided tours, flight simulator experiences, and educational programs for students throughout the year.

The facility includes exhibits of the De Havilland DH-100 Vampire and Hawker Hunter aircraft, alongside specialized technical instruments used in military aviation.
