The center was established in 2012 as Switzerland's first comprehensive facility presenting environmental technologies and sustainable solutions. It grew from the drive to make practical knowledge about modern environmental protection methods publicly available.
The center shows how people today can live comfortably while managing resources responsibly. The exhibits reflect how environmental values fit into everyday Swiss life.
The facility is open Wednesday through Sunday and offers activities for different age groups. You can test electric vehicles on an indoor track, join cooking workshops, and see renewable energy demonstrations.
The building generates its own electricity using solar panels on the roof. Children can use physical effort on an energy slide to produce electricity while learning how renewable power works.
