JuBla Turm Sirnach, Wooden observation tower in Sirnach, Switzerland.
The JuBla Turm Sirnach was a wooden observation tower standing 18 meters tall with an observation platform reached by climbing 88 wooden steps. The structure allowed visitors to look out over the surrounding landscape and see across the region from its elevated vantage point.
The tower was built in 2010 by the local youth organization Jubla and served as a recreational landmark until its removal in September 2023. Fungal damage in the wooden structure made the demolition necessary to ensure safety.
The structure represented the commitment of Jungwacht Blauring organization to outdoor activities and environmental education for Swiss German-speaking youth groups.
The tower was easily accessible with parking available near the site in Sirnach. Visitors should have expected a moderate climb of 88 steps with an open platform at the top for moving around freely.
The tower provided viewing opportunities of southern Thurgau while functioning as both an observation point and a gathering space for community activities.
