Gasthaus "Zum Goldenen Ochsen"

The Gasthaus Zum Goldenen Ochsen is a building with a three-part classical facade featuring rectangular windows on the ground and first floors. The second floor displays shell-shaped keystones that add architectural character to the structure.

The building was founded in 1607 and underwent several modifications throughout its lifetime. The classical facade visible today was added in the late 18th century.

The gasthaus served as a gathering place for the Bern section of the Swiss Zofinger Association from 1819 onwards, shaping local social connections. Visitors today can sense the importance this location held for community members throughout the region.
