The Temple of Confucius in Qufu, Shandong Province, is the largest and most renowned temple of Confucius in East Asia.
Since 478 BC, the Temple of Confucius has been developed into a grand complex in successive stages.
The temple was a place of remembrance for Confucius and a place of annual ceremonies.
It's recommended to visit early in the morning to avoid crowds.
Unlike most cultural temples, this one doesn't involve worship of a deity.
