Manzhouli

Manzhouli is a border city in Inner Mongolia situated along the Chinese-Russian frontier with expansive grasslands surrounding it. The nearby Hulun Lake and open terrain form the natural setting for this administrative center.

The settlement became a major transit hub after 1900 when it served as the western terminus of the Chinese Eastern Railway. This railway connection established the city as a key point for trade flowing between China and Russia.
