Mawangdui, Han Dynasty tombs in China
Mawangdui is an archaeological site located in Changsha, China, containing a series of tombs filled with artifacts of extraordinary significance.
The tombs were sealed and preserved remarkably well for over 2,000 years since the Han Dynasty.
The site provides a wealth of information about the medical practices, lifestyle, music, and art during the Han Dynasty.
Today, many of the artifacts found at Mawangdui are on display at the Hunan Provincial Museum.
One of the most notable discoveries was the well-preserved body of Lady Dai (Xin Zhui).
