Bailong Elevator, Glass elevator in Wulingyuan, China

The Bailong Elevator rises 326 meters along a sandstone cliff face in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, featuring three transparent glass cabins for panoramic views.

Construction teams completed this engineering project in 2002 after investing 20 million dollars to create tunnels and shafts through the natural rock formations.

This transportation system received its Chinese name meaning hundred dragons sky ladder from its appearance against the mountain, resembling a celestial creature ascending.

Each of the three elevator cars holds 50 passengers and travels from bottom to top in 92 seconds, operating daily between 8:00 AM and 5:30 PM.

The elevator holds three Guinness World Records as the tallest outdoor lift, highest double-deck viewing elevator, and fastest high-capacity passenger elevator globally.
