The stadium features a cylindrical structure reaching 36 meters in height, with vertical blinds attached to a diagonal steel framework that creates a functional and visually distinctive exterior design.

Construction began on July 6, 2007, and the facility was officially opened on February 5, 2010, following a project investment of approximately 900 million yuan.

The venue hosted Shenzhen Ruby during the 2011 Chinese Super League season and served as home ground for the Guangdong football team during the Guangdong-Hong Kong Cup from 2012 to 2015.

Located at 4 Si Huan Nan Road in Hui Cheng District with postal code 516007, the stadium offers accessibility features for guests with disabilities and includes food outlets within the premises.

The facade is equipped with LED lighting technology that enables the display of colorful images and animations during evening events, creating dynamic visual presentations visible throughout the surrounding area.
