Anzhen Castle, National heritage fortress in Yong'an, China
Anzhen Castle spans 6000 square meters with 360 rooms arranged in a two-story layout featuring 12 kitchens and 5 water wells.
Construction of the fortress began in 1885 during the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty and required 14 years to complete.
The fortress combines residential architecture with military defense elements, representing the traditional rammed earth construction techniques of Chinese architecture.
The castle opens its doors to visitors daily, with guided tours available to explore the extensive network of corridors and living quarters.
The structure incorporates 18 ceremonial halls within its three-section design, creating space for up to 1,000 inhabitants.
