Stone Pagoda Temple, Buddhist temple complex in Qionglai, China.
The Stone Pagoda Temple features a 17-meter tall red sandstone pagoda with 13 floors and twelve support columns around the first level.
The temple construction took place between 1165 and 1173 during the Southern Song dynasty, with its original name being the Temple of Great Mercy.
The stone pagoda contains architectural elements from both Tang and Song dynasties, displaying the evolution of Chinese religious building techniques.
The temple received national protection status in 2001, ensuring proper maintenance and preservation of its architectural features for future generations.
The first floor of the pagoda stands significantly taller than the upper levels, creating a distinct architectural pattern visible throughout the structure.
