Yunlong Lake, Urban park with lake in Xuzhou, China.
Yunlong Lake is an urban park in Xuzhou featuring a water surface of around 8 hectares within a 25-hectare total area. The space includes walking paths, gardens, and multiple sections for outdoor activities.
The park was established in 1958 on former cemetery grounds and includes a reconstructed Tang Dynasty pavilion. It also contains a Western Han Dynasty burial mound measuring several hundred square meters.
The park follows traditional Chinese garden design principles across its different sections, including a bonsai garden and areas dedicated to seasonal flowers. You can experience this thoughtful layout as you walk through each part of the space.
The park offers free admission, boat rentals, walking paths, and multiple outdoor activity areas. You will find well-developed pathways and facilities throughout the space, making it easy to explore the different sections on foot or by boat.
A large burial mound in the northeast section dates to the Western Han Dynasty and is surrounded by evergreen trees. This archaeological site often goes unnoticed by visitors, though it demonstrates that the park was built over an ancient burial ground.
