Soviet War Memorial, War memorial and military cemetery in Treptower Park, Berlin, Germany.
The memorial spans nine hectares and features a 12-meter bronze statue of a soldier holding a sword while carrying a German child.
The site commemorates 7,000 of the 80,000 Soviet soldiers who died during the Battle of Berlin in April and May of 1945.
Sixteen stone sarcophagi represent the Soviet Republics, displaying relief carvings and quotations that honor the fallen Red Army soldiers.
Visitors can enter through two entrances: the north gate via Puschkinallee or the south entrance on Straße am Treptower Park.
The memorial includes a three-meter sculpture of Mother Russia, depicting a woman in mourning, positioned between two carved granite flags.
