Hohenschönhausen is a former manor house in Alt-Hohenschönhausen, Berlin, first built between the 13th and 15th centuries and rebuilt as a manor at the end of the 15th century by the von Röbel family. The building was altered in 1893 by Gerhard Puchmüller, who decorated the vestibule with paintings. Since 2021 it has been undergoing a full renovation by the housing cooperative Neues Berlin, with a new roof structure and a planned annex.

The first buildings on the site date from the 13th to 15th century; at the end of the 15th century the noble family von Röbel built a manor house there. Merchant Adam Ebersbach bought it on 2 July 1736, followed by the Prussian reformer Christian Friedrich Scharnweber in 1817. In 1893 factory owner Gerhard Puchmüller had it rebuilt and decorated the vestibule with paintings; from 1910 to 1929 inventor Paul Schmidt was the last private owner. The city took over in 1930, and from 1945 to 1989 the house served as a clinic, including maternity care.

The name Hohenschönhausen comes from the old village around the manor, not from a founding family. Since 1998 the Förderverein has staged exhibitions, readings, lectures and concerts here; guests have included figure-skating world champion Christine Errath, cabaret artists Peter Ensikat and Dieter Hildebrandt, and guitarist Johanna Beisteiner, an honorary member of the association.

The manor house is undergoing a full renovation under architect Christoph Stolzenberg, with completion planned for autumn 2026. A new annex will provide step-free access, a lift and a second staircase, plus a café; a neighbourhood garden is also being created on the grounds. Until then, access is limited.

From 1945 to 1989 the house was a clinic for changing medical specialities, including obstetrics; the English source calls it a maternity hospital. The last private owner, inventor and factory owner Paul Schmidt, held it from 1910 to 1929 before the city of Berlin took it over in 1930.
