Neumarkt-Sankt Veit is an administrative town in Bavaria that lies along the Rott River and features traditional German architecture throughout its neighborhoods. The community spans about 61 square kilometers at an elevation of roughly 457 meters.
The town was originally called Neumarkt an der Rott until it received its current name in 1934. After this change, it became the administrative center for the Mühldorf district.
The town maintains a partnership with Caneva in Italy that began in the early 2000s and brings regular cultural exchanges between the communities. This connection shapes how people here look beyond their borders and engage with other parts of Europe.
The town is situated about 33 kilometers southeast of Landshut and roughly 10 kilometers north of Mühldorf, making it reasonably accessible from nearby cities. Visitors will find basic shops and services available throughout the community.
