Augsburg Protestant Cemetery, Protestant cemetery in Hochfeld, Augsburg, Germany.
The cemetery extends over 6 hectares of land, containing 9,500 graves with monuments that showcase Gothic Revival and classical architectural designs.
The cemetery, established in 1534, transferred to Protestant parishes after the Peace of Westphalia in 1648, marking a shift in religious governance.
The burial ground holds records dating to 1658 and contains graves of notable figures including architect Elias Holl and philanthropist Anna Barbara von Stetten.
The cemetery remains active for burials and features an 1825 chapel designed by Johann Michael Voit alongside an 1837 morgue building.
This burial ground stands as the oldest cemetery in Augsburg, with an administration building from 1700 that continues to serve its original purpose.
