Schloss Fasanerie, Baroque palace in Eichenzell, Germany

The palace exhibits extensive baroque architecture with symmetrical wings, ornate facades, and formal gardens spreading across the Eichenzell landscape.

Construction of Schloss Fasanerie occurred between 1730 and 1757 under the direction of architect Johann Dientzenhofer as a summer residence for Fulda's prince-abbots.

The palace museum contains one of Germany's largest private porcelain collections, displaying pieces from multiple European manufacturing periods and styles.

Visitors can access guided tours from April through November, with hourly departures allowing exploration of the palace's historical rooms and exhibitions.

The name Fasanerie originates from its initial purpose as a pheasantry and hunting lodge before its transformation into a grand baroque residence.
