Francke Foundations, Educational foundation and museum in Halle, Germany

The Francke Foundations consist of historic buildings that house multiple educational institutions, libraries, research centers, and exhibition spaces across their grounds.

Founded in 1695 by August Hermann Francke, the institution began as an orphanage and school for underprivileged children in the local community.

The Cabinet of Artefacts and Curiosities maintains 3,000 specimens and historical items, preserving one of Germany's oldest museum collections in its original layout.

The Foundations welcome visitors from Tuesday to Sunday between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with limited wheelchair access throughout the complex.

The institution operates three kindergartens, four schools, a youth workshop, and research facilities where over 4,000 people learn, teach, and work daily.
