The New Town Hall spans across 9,159 square meters with 400 rooms, featuring a 100-meter-long main facade adorned with intricate architectural details.
Construction of the New Town Hall began in 1883 under architect Georg von Hauberrisser, replacing the previous municipal building as the city expanded.
The main facade displays statues depicting the Wittelsbach dynasty and Bavarian kings, representing the largest princely collection in German municipal architecture.
The building contains a tourist information center on the ground floor, administrative offices throughout upper levels, and the Ratskeller restaurant in the basement.
The central tower reaches 85 meters in height and features the Münchner Kindl at its peak, with an elevator providing access for visitors.
