Museum Witt

The Museum Witt contains a collection of ten million specimens from global locations, with specialized sections dedicated to moth species and butterflies.

Thomas Joseph Witt established this research facility in 1980, which later became part of the Bavarian State Collection of Zoology in 2000.

The museum published scientific works about moths and Lepidoptera species, including comprehensive studies about specimens from Lithuania, Laos, and Thailand.
