Apostolic Exarchate in Germany and Scandinavia for the Ukrainians, Ukrainian Catholic jurisdiction in Munich, Germany

The Apostolic Exarchate extends its religious services across Germany, Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden through a network of parishes and communities.

The ecclesiastical territory was established in 1959 to serve Ukrainian Catholics who left their homeland due to political circumstances in Poland and the Soviet Union.

The institution maintains Saturday schools where children learn catechism, Ukrainian language, and traditions through dedicated teachers, priests, and religious personnel.

The cathedral of Maria Schutz und St. Andreas in Munich serves as the main religious center, with additional 40 service locations spread throughout Germany.

In 2023, the exarchate made a significant transition to the Gregorian calendar, aligning its religious celebrations with the Latin Catholic Church schedule.
