Eschede, Municipality in Lower Saxony, Germany.

Eschede extends across 195 square kilometers of land at the border of Südheide Nature Park, northeast of the city of Celle.

The municipality experienced a devastating forest fire in 1975, which burned through substantial sections of the surrounding woodland in Lower Saxony.

Twenty villages form this administrative region, each contributing to the preservation of rural traditions and agricultural practices in Lower Saxony.

The municipality maintains essential services for its 5,792 residents, including educational facilities and transportation connections to neighboring communities.

The Albert König Museum in nearby Unterlüß displays works from the painter who was born in Eschede during the late 19th century.
