Langelsheim

Langelsheim is a municipality in Goslar district nestled between two rivers at the northern edge of the Harz mountains. It comprises eight connected districts spread across a landscape near the Harz National Park.

Settlement began in the 10th century with a fortified site on Kahnstein mountain under Ottonian rule. This early location grew into a major center for iron processing and metalwork.
