Church of the Redeemer, Bad Homburg, Protestant church in Bad Homburg, Germany
The Church of the Redeemer features a cross-shaped basilica design with four towers, displaying different heights between the altar and entrance sides.
Emperor Wilhelm II funded the construction of this church between 1903 and 1908, using it regularly through a private entrance for services.
The interior contains a Christ Pantocrator mosaic in the apse vault and combines Byzantine elements with Romanesque Revival architectural features.
Located at Dorotheenstraße 1, the church maintains two organs: the original Sauer organ from 1908 and a Woehl organ added in 1990.
Empress Auguste-Viktoria presented the church with a jewel-decorated altar cross originally intended for the Church of the Redeemer in Jerusalem.
