Schönberg

Schönberg is a seaside resort along the Baltic Sea coast in Plön District and stretches across a wide sandy beach. The location is shaped by a protective dike that shields the settlement from storm surges.

The area came under the influence of a Benedictine cloister that acquired holdings in the region in the 13th century. This ecclesiastical rule shaped the location's development over centuries.
