DITIB-Merkez-Moschee

The DITIB-Merkez-Moschee is a prayer house in Marxloh with a 34-meter minaret and central dome that holds around 1,200 worshippers in total. The complex contains multiple prayer areas and gathering spaces alongside separate entrances and designated zones for men and women.

The building opened in 2008 as part of the Turkish-Islamic Union for Religious Affairs network, which operates numerous religious centers across Germany. Its creation reflects the growth of the Turkish community in the region during the early 2000s.

The mosque combines Islamic architectural traditions with modern German design, blending Ottoman-style elements and contemporary construction into a single structure. This fusion is visible in both the dome and the exterior details.

The site observes daily prayer times according to the Islamic calendar and maintains separate entrances and areas for visitors of different genders. Guests should wear appropriate clothing and remove their shoes before entering.

The mosque complex includes a bazaar section where visitors can purchase traditional items and goods. The facility also houses dedicated spaces for interfaith dialogue meetings that bring people from different religious backgrounds together.
