The Zeiss Bau 59 stands 67 meters tall with 16 floors and features a glass corner tower and curved roof design integrating modern architectural elements.
Constructed between 1959 and 1965, the building served as a research facility for VEB Carl Zeiss Jena during the industrial development of East Germany.
The entrance area received artistic contributions from Ben Willikens in 1993, adding contemporary elements to this industrial research structure.
Five elevators service the building's offices, now primarily occupied by Salesforce.com, while GW Real manages the property at Leutragraben 2-4.
The structure underwent two major renovations in 1992-1993 and 2007, transforming the original concrete facade into a modern glass and steel composition.
