Barthels Hof, Leipzig, Renaissance trade court building in Leipzig, Germany.

The Barthels Hof extends from the market square to Kleine Fleischergasse, featuring a narrow Baroque facade that leads to a large inner courtyard complex.

Between 1747 and 1750, merchant Gottlieb Barthel commissioned architect George Werner to construct this trading facility during Leipzig's continental commerce dominance.

The ground floor preserves original sales vaults where merchants displayed fancy goods, cloth, wigs, and crinolines during Leipzig's trade fair periods.

Located one minute from Leipzig Market Square, the building contains multiple small shops and a restaurant serving traditional Saxon dishes.

The structure includes visible crane beams in the courtyard that merchants used to lift goods into storage spaces during the 18th century.
