Dreifrankenstein, Territorial marker at intersection of Upper, Middle, and Lower Franconia regions, Germany.

The Dreifrankenstein is a boundary marker located at a point where three Franconian regions meet. Visitors find two stones here with regional coats of arms, each serving as a symbol of the territorial division.

The original marker was erected in 1892 to mark the boundary between three regions. After administrative reforms in 1972, a new stone was installed in 1979 at a different location, while the older one was preserved.

The stones mark a meeting point where people from three different Franconian regions come together. The location holds special meaning because each region brings its own local traditions and characteristics.

The site is easily accessible and offers information panels explaining the three regions and their characteristics. Benches provide rest areas, making it a convenient stop during a walk or drive through the countryside.

A visitor can stand at a single point where three administrative districts meet, making the territorial division physically tangible from that spot. The presence of two stones illustrates how administrative boundaries can shift over time.
