Usedom Abbey, Medieval Premonstratensian monastery in Usedom, Germany
The monastery buildings stand on Priesterkamp hill in Usedom town, near the southeastern section of Usedom Island along the Peenestrom waterway.
The monastery was established in 1101 by Pomeranian duke Ratibor I and his wife Pribislawa during the Christian conversion period of the Pomeranian region.
The monastery functioned as a provisional center for the Pomeranian diocese until 1175, when the administrative functions transferred to Cammin.
The monastery grounds contain architectural elements from multiple centuries, with sections accessible through guided tours arranged by the local tourism office.
Following Protestant Reformation changes, the monastery transformed into a residence for ducal widows during the late 16th century.
