Eisstadion im Sahnpark

The Eisstadion im Sahnpark is an ice arena featuring a competition rink with seating for around 5,200 spectators and additional sports facilities within the structure. The building houses modern equipment and has undergone major upgrades over the years.

The arena opened in 1964 as an ice hockey facility and received a protective roof in 1994. Major renovations from 2009 to 2011 modernized the building's core infrastructure and amenities.

This venue is home to the Eispiraten Crimmitschau ice hockey team and regularly hosts public skating sessions, ice discos, and winter festivals. These events shape the town's leisure culture and draw visitors throughout the cold months.

The stadium is located in northern Crimmitschau within the Sahnpark area and offers ample parking nearby. A walk from the city center takes about 12 minutes.

The arena hosted the 2011 U18 Ice Hockey World Championship, showcasing its capacity to organize international tournaments at professional standards. This achievement highlights the venue's importance beyond the local community.
