The church building features a western facade with a pediment, two rounded polygonal towers, and a high square tower with an octagonal upper floor.
Construction of St. Paulus church took place between 1927 and 1929, becoming the second Catholic church built in Göttingen after the Protestant Reformation.
The western pediment displays a monumental statue of the Apostle Paul, while the interior contains large paintings depicting the Apotheosis of Saint Paul.
The church maintains its original exterior structure and serves as both a religious center and a venue for community gatherings in central Göttingen.
The building combines Neo-Baroque architectural elements with flying buttresses supporting the main nave walls toward the clerestory windows.
