Paramount Park, Dance club in Rödermark, Germany
Paramount Park was a dance club in a former ice rink building in Rödermark, featuring a sunken dance floor covered with aluminum plates and multiple entertainment zones spanning 3,200 square meters. The venue maximized the spacious original structure to accommodate different areas for various music styles and experiences.
The club transformed a former ice rink building and operated from October 1993 to October 2002 as one of Germany's largest entertainment venues. During this period, it regularly drew prominent DJs and techno producers from across Europe.
The venue contained distinct sections including the main Mirage area, a smaller Cotton Club space, and various bar zones such as the Hollywood Cafe. These different zones reflected how visitors could choose between dancing and socializing in more relaxed settings.
The venue was accessible by public transport and offered ample space for visitors to move between the different areas and entertainment zones. The large layout made it easy for people to navigate through the sections or take breaks in the quieter bar areas if needed.
At midnight, the club presented a five-minute laser performance sometimes accompanied by fireworks above the two-meter-deep aluminum-plated dance floor. This nightly light show became a signature moment that drew many visitors to the venue.
