Burg Garz, Medieval castle in Temnitztal, Germany.

The residential tower of Burg Garz rises 12 meters high with 1.20-meter-thick walls constructed from fieldstones and brick edges.

First documented in 1364, the castle belonged to the von Quast family until 1945 when it was confiscated during the Soviet occupation zone reforms.

The stone fortification represents a rare example of lower noble medieval architecture in Brandenburg, featuring both fieldstone construction and timber-framed elements.

The castle remains in private ownership, requiring visitors to observe posted access regulations and maintain distance from residential areas.

A polygonal half-timbered staircase tower, added in 1681, extends from the southern side of the main residential structure.
