Burg Habitzheim is a vanished water castle in the centre of Habitzheim, now part of Otzberg, Hesse, at the foot of the Odenwald. Nothing of the castle stands; its site beside the church is covered by a farmstead with barns and stables, and the small Hasselbach stream that once fed its moat still flows through the village.

The castle's construction date is unknown; it likely arose with Veste Otzberg by the 13th century and was first documented in 1323 as a Fulda fief of the von Bickenbach family. In 1362 a division deed records a Ganerbschaft, with the castle gate and tower held in common. From the late 15th century the counts of Löwenstein-Wertheim gradually bought the shares; in 1623 Hessen-Darmstadt bought castle and village for 25,000 Reichstaler. By the 19th century it lost its function as an administrative seat and was rebuilt as a farmstead.

The castle gave the village its name: "Haboltsheym" appears in 14th-century charters, and the settlement grew around the castle site beside today's church. From the late 15th century the counts of Löwenstein-Wertheim assembled a lordship here covering Habitzheim, Spachbrücken, Zeilhard and Groß-Zimmern, administered by an Amtmann until the early 19th century.

The castle itself is gone: the site is now a farmyard at the church in the centre of Habitzheim, so there is no keep or moat to visit. Look for the farm buildings and stables that replaced it, and the nearby church that marks the former core of the complex. The small Hasselbach stream, whose branch once fed the moat, still runs through the village.
