Burg Neuhaus

Burg Neuhaus is a stone castle situated on a mountain ridge at approximately 329 meters elevation near Igersheim in Baden-Württemberg. The core ruins remain open to visitors and show the medieval construction and defensive design typical of castles in this region.

The castle was built in the 13th century and came under the control of the Bishopric of Würzburg in 1320 as part of the Deutschordensamt Neuhaus administration. This administrative arrangement shaped the fortress and its strategic importance for centuries.
