German Phono Museum, Sound recording museum in St. Georgen im Schwarzwald, Germany.
The German Phono Museum contains an extensive collection of phonographs, record players, and audio devices from different technological eras since 1877.
Established in 1972, the museum emerged from the merger of two private phonograph collections owned by local residents of St. Georgen im Schwarzwald.
The exhibition demonstrates the connection between watchmaking craftsmanship and gramophone drive technology, reflecting the industrial heritage of the Black Forest region.
Located at Bärenplatz 1, the museum welcomes visitors Tuesday through Sunday from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with seasonal schedule adjustments between May and October.
The collection includes original Edison phonographs, magnetic recording devices, and Dual brand equipment manufactured in St. Georgen between 1877 and 1982.
