The Cathedral St. Marien features a tall nave reaching 38 meters in height and a central spire extending 68 meters into the sky.
Originally constructed in 1230, the cathedral became the seat of the Bishopric of Lebus in 1373 and underwent reconstruction after substantial damage during World War II.
The cathedral contains a collection of preserved grave slabs and a 16th-century tabernacle that represents medieval German religious craftsmanship.
The cathedral welcomes visitors Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM and weekends from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Domplatz 10.
The 1967 pipe organ, designed by Alexander Schuke, was originally created for St. Thomas Church in Leipzig before its transfer to Fürstenwalde.
