Evangelische Kirche Boxberg-Wölchingen

The church features a three-nave pillar basilica with a transept before the choir, resulting in a cruciform floor plan with semicircular apses.

Built between 1220 and 1270 by the Knights Hospitaller in collaboration with local nobles of Boxberg, the church received its octagonal tower during 1878-1879.

The church serves as the center for the Protestant community of Boxberg-Wölchingen, hosting regular Sunday services and facilitating various community activities.

Located at Frankendomstraße 51 in Boxberg-Wölchingen, the church remains open daily from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with keys available at the parish office.

The underground crypt beneath the choir apse features a central column and may have been designed as a representation of the Holy Sepulcher.
