Eimsbütteler Park „Am Weiher“, Public park in Eimsbüttel district, Hamburg, Germany.
Eimsbütteler Park Am Weiher is a public green space in Hamburg's Eimsbüttel district centered around a pond. The park features multiple walking paths, mature trees including weeping willows, chestnuts, and maples, plus a children's splash pool situated between Ottersbekallee and Unnastrasse.
The site contained fish ponds belonging to St. Johannis Monastery during the 17th century before becoming private property of Hamburg residents. This transition marked a shift from monastic use to private green spaces for the city's growing population.
The historic restroom building has been converted into a café and is now protected as a cultural monument. It serves visitors as a social gathering place where people come to rest and connect with others.
The park is accessible via multiple entrances that provide wheelchair access for all visitors. The children's splash pool and café are easy to locate, with plenty of space for walking and lingering throughout the grounds.
The park contains uncommon tree species including medlar, bald cypress, and English oak that visitors often overlook. These botanical rarities make the grounds particularly noteworthy for those interested in plants.
